To juice or to blend, that is the question. In my experience you should juice, blend, and eat vegetables and fruit. Juicing and blending, however, each have some pros and cons.

Why Juicing is Better Than Blending.

Digestion is hard work: By the time you are 50 years old, you will have eaten an amazingly large number of meals. Assuming you averaged 4 meals a day, you’d have eaten 73,000 meals on your 50th birthday.

Eating means you’ve been digesting. Most men over 50 will tell you that digestion tends to fade with age. Now you can understand why.

Just as your joints wear our from use, so too do your intestines become less efficient over time.

An average juice may have several cups of vegetables and fruit. Juicing saves your body the hard work of removing the pulp from the nutrients. To have a lifetime of good digestion, juicing is highly beneficial.

(You can get the nutrients from pounds of carrots by drinking just a small glass of carrot juice from an Omega Juicer.)

Why Blending is Better Than Juicing.

Fiber: Juicing removes all of the fiber from the fruit and vegetable. By blending, you keep the fiber intact. FIber helps keep everything moving regularly.

Most Americans do not get enough fiber. An active male needs between 35 and 50 grams of fiber each day. If you’re not eating an otherwise healthy diet, the fiber from blending is beneficial.

Ease of use: In a word, cleanup.

Although cleaning a juicer is not the big deal a lot of people think it will be, a blender has fewer moving parts. Just rinse out the basin (or whatever it’s called) and you’re done.

Conclusion: Is Blending Better than Juicing?

No. There is a time and place for all of the above. Juicing or blending is not an either-or.
