Joe Cross made Breville Juicers famous in his award-winning documentary, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. Now a spokesman for Breville, Joe Cross has a YouTube channel where he shares tips for the best way to juice with a Breville
(Are Breville Juicers the best juicers?)
In his latest episode, Joe Cross shows you how to get the most juice out of your fruits and vegetables while using a Breville juicer.
How to Get the Most Bang for your Buck with a Breville juicer
To get the most juice out of your fruits and vegetables, Cross suggests that you use a lot of these foods when juicing with a Breville:
- celery
- cucumber
- romaine lettuce
- pineapple
- apples.
In my humble opinion, Joe leaves off one of the best foods to juice – carrots. A Breville juicer exacts an incredible amount of juice from carrots. And carrots have an amazing amount of nutrition.
Where’s the love for carrots, Joe? 😉
Joe Cross’s video implies something that we often talk about at Fit Juice. Namely, no single juicer is the “best juicer.” In other words, there is no best juicer. There is only the best juicer for you.
As you can see in Joe’s video, the Breville is a really fast juicer. Although the Breville is fast, it doesn’t extract much juice from kale, spinach, and other leafy greens.
An Omega juicer such as the Omega VRT350 or Omega J8006 will extract far more nutrients from leafy greens than an Omega. An Omega juicer is slower than Breville. Yet it’s easier to clean an Omega juicer than a Breville juicer, since the cleaning screen from the Breville takes a bit of scrubbing to get clean.
Like we always say, what juicer you get is far less important than getting a juicer. If you have a Breville juicer, watch the video from Joe Cross to learn how to get the most juice for your money.
