I juice kale nearly every day. Kale is rich in glutioamine, which is an essential nutrient the body needs to detox itself. Kale is also high in Vitamins K, C, A, B, and other trace minerals.
Kale is also rich in carotenoids, which improve skin texture, fight cancer, and lower inflammation in the body. Kale is high in lutein and zeanxanthin, which help prevent macular degeneration, “night blindness,” cataracts, and other eye problems.
Rich in Vitamin C, this kale juice recipe is especially great to make during the cold season.
Kale Orange Carrot Juice
- 1 bunch kale (stalks and stems)
- 4 oranges
- 4 carrots
(I used 4 carrots and oranges because lately the store has had really small carrots and oranges. If your produce is better, use fewer carrots and oranges.)
Run them through your juicer of choice and enjoy. In my Omega J8006, I get around 24 ounces of juice from this recipe.
Tip for Omega Juicer owners: Sometimes the pulp from oranges and other softer fruits goes into the pulp bin a little wet. You can run the pulp through the Omega again. However the pulp might clog up the chute. To prevent this potential problem, save your carrots for last. The carrot will push the orange pulp back through the juicer.
